Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence. While we realize that students will become ill or must be absent for some reasons, it is important to carefully monitor how many days a students misses school each month.
Here at Eisenhower we are working to reduce our absence rate percentage to 7% by the end of the school year. As you can see below, our absence percentage by month is increasing. We have great faith we can reach that 7% but we need your help to ensure your child is here at school every day possible. As always we thank you in advance for your support.
