Kindergarten Round-Up – Parents, if you have a child turning 5 years old by August 31, 2019, you are invited to attend Kindergarten Round-Up on April 25, 2019 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. You’ll learn about procedures and expectations for new kindergarteners. You are encouraged to bring your child’s birth certificate, shot records and a current physical. You will also have an opportunity to enroll your child online.

Science and Arts Fair – Eisenhower Elementary’s Science and Arts Fair is coming up on May 7th. Notes will go home with students explaining the rules and categories so that they may plan their projects. We have very talented students at our school, so please encourage your child to work on their projects.

“Purple Up” for Military Kids – April is designated as the Month of the Military Child; a time to honor the sacrifices made by military families worldwide, with an emphasis on the experience of the dependent children of military members serving at home and overseas. We are celebrating military kids at Eisenhower on April 18th, so be sure to wear purple in recognition!

Eisenhower PTA: We are currently recruiting parents who would like to serve on our PTA Board for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are interested in being involved with PTA this coming school year, please contact Leslie Schmutz at the school. Thanks.

Box Tops– Please keep saving the Box Tops for Education and sending them to the school.  We send home sheets each month on which you may glue or tape the box tops. We appreciate your efforts in helping us collect these. Each little box top is worth 10 cents and last year we saved almost $1000.00! Look for products with the Box Tops for Education label.

State testing – State testing begins on April 2nd. As we all know, this can be a stressful and tiring time of year for your child. There are a couple of things that you can do to help ease some of their testing stress. Please make sure they receive plenty of rest at night and always start the day with a good breakfast. The testing schedule is below with dates for each 3rd-5th grade class.
