Thanksgiving is a time for families to come together, enjoy each other’s company and show gratitude for the things they have and the people in their lives. The staff and students at Eisenhower are grateful for the family we have formed at school. Every morning the announcements tell students that inside these walls they are safe and loved and we mean that from the bottom of our hearts.
The staff and students celebrated Thanksgiving by having a school family meal complete with entertainment!!
Fifth Graders, Ellie, Carmen and Alyssa wanted to share their experience.
Have you ever attended a Thanksgiving Banquet? If not this is how it is like at our school. Each student got to make a place mat for the tables. We all gathered in the cafeteria to eat turkey and mashed potatoes for lunch with our buddy class. Later on students are allowed to play the piano for entertainment. We also sang songs together like Yankee Doodle Boy, Grand Old Flag, and Things I am Thankful For. So far I think this has been the best Thanksgiving banquet.
Thank you girls for sharing!
